These terms govern your use of patchBay (patchbay.cc), an API directory operated from Belgium. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

What patchBay Is

patchBay is a directory that helps developers discover public APIs. Listings are community-sourced from open-source repositories (marcelscruz/public-apis, APIs.guru) published under MIT and CC0 licenses, as well as user submissions. We do not operate or maintain any of the listed APIs.

Your Responsibilities

• When submitting an API, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• You will not submit spam, malicious URLs, or misleading information.
• You will not attempt to abuse, overload, or interfere with the service (automated scraping, denial-of-service, etc.).
• You are responsible for any content you submit to patchBay.

Data Accuracy Disclaimer

API listings are sourced from publicly available, community-maintained data. We do our best to keep information current, but we cannot guarantee that every listing is accurate, complete, or up to date. API availability, pricing, and features are controlled by the respective API providers, not by patchBay.

Featured Listings & Payments

• Featured listings are a paid subscription at $99/month, billed through Stripe.
• You can cancel at any time. Your featured status remains active until the end of the current billing period.
• No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.
• We reserve the right to remove featured status if the listing violates these terms (with a pro-rata refund in that case).

Intellectual Property

The patchBay name, branding, and site design are our property. API listing data derived from open-source repositories retains the license of its source (MIT or CC0). By submitting an API, you grant patchBay a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display the submitted information on the site.

Content Removal

If you are the owner of a listed API and want your listing removed or corrected, contact us at privacy@patchbay.cc and we will handle it promptly. We also reserve the right to remove any listing at our discretion.

Limitation of Liability

patchBay is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site, reliance on listed API information, or interactions with third-party API providers. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months.

Privacy & GDPR

We take data protection seriously. Our full data practices are described in our Privacy Policy. As an EU-based service, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can exercise your data rights by emailing privacy@patchbay.cc.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of patchBay after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
